This blog is written for teachers to help them explore ways to easily integrate technology into the classroom, to highlight new tools available for teachers, and to break it all down into manageable pieces.
I am a Instructional Techonology Specialist in Round Rock ISD. Before this I taught 7th and 8th graders history using as much technology as I could. Using technology has always been a hook for me to get the students involved in what they are learning. With the ever changing web I am excited to explore all the new free tools that are out there for teachers and the help them design lessons around those tools. I have recently completed my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology Leadership and am working on my Google Apps Certification.
IN my free time I am mom to 2 grade school children and a wife to a wonderful husband.

Hi Robin!
I read your article, “Google Forms: Self-Graded Quizzes”.
I have built something similar for my students but I tried to do one more important thing: that the grades would appear as soon as the students submit their forms. Unfortunately, Google Forms has an odd behaviour and when I tried to implement this.. weird stuff happened, like formulas that changed etc.
My experience with google Forms is quite limited and I really need this functionality.
If you ever investigated this issue, please let me know of your findings. I’m really looking forward into solving this.

Robin,
Thanks for the great website. I downloaded your self-grading quiz template in google docs and followed your instructions, but I cannot get it to grade the input. Looks like it comes with a whole bunch of names in there already? I added 7 questions and followed all your directions, but have not been successful. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Scott

I have recently discovered Flubaroo and would suggest checking that out instead of the old method of the formulas and all the separate pages. http://www.flubaroo.com/
